Inclement weather: Heavy snowfall damages poultry farm

A three-story poultry farm was completely damaged due to heavy snowfall in Trown area of Doda district on Thursday.
SDPO Bhaderwah, Adil Rishu, said that due to heavy snowfall since Wednesday night, a three-story poultry farm of Makeem Ahmed, resident of Trown area, got damaged. "The incident took place when the farm collapsed due to heavy snowfall in the area," he said.
However, the owner Makeem Ahmed alleged that the incident happened due to the negligence of PMGSY, who has recently done earth-cutting work near the farm “without proper drainage” system in place.
The locals demanded immediate compensation for the affected family.
Pertinently, it has been snowing heavily since early Thursday morning and 1.5 feet snow had already accumulated in the area, till this report was filed.
